Thank you for visiting BUFF Fitness and my redesigned website! Whether you’ve been here before or are new to BUFF Fitness welcome!
In case you didn’t know, the BUFF Fitness concept was born in 2001 with the release of my first book, BUFF Brides. BUFF Brides was, and STILL IS, the first comprehensive workout guide for brides-to-be. The response was so favorable that I was encouraged to write additional fitness books for other important phases of a woman’s life and BUFF Moms-to–Be and BUFF Moms followed.
It’s been an exciting six years and I’ve only just begun!

As we start to dry off here in the Northeast, BUFF has been quite active the past few weeks. I have teamed with a few great brands to bring BUFF to a wider audience.
In the beginning of April, I partnered with WeightWatchers.com to offer an exclusive Buff Brides Fitness Challenge (www.weightwatchers.com). My specialized program is the first fitness initiative for Weightwatchers.com and I’m proud to be affiliated with their great weight loss program. I’ve developed a 12-week workout program that brides-to-be and all members of the wedding party. The launch of my program has received high praise and the announcement was mentioned in the March 26 issue of Brand Week magazine.
Weightwatchers.com is featuring a bride-to-be named Amy who is doing the challenge. Readers can follow her progress as she prepares for her November wedding. To promote the launch, Weightwatchers.com set up an 18-city satellite radio tour for me! You could hear BUFF all over the nation on the drive time radio shows! NO, Imus was not one of them!
Another exciting announcement that I can now reveal is that I’ve been named one of Modern Bride magazine’s Top 25 Trendsetters of the Year! This prestigious award is often referred to as the Emmy for the wedding industry. I will be honored with 24 other Trendsetters at The Palace Hotel on May 9t. The amazing designer Nicole Miller will be presenting me my award and the event is promised to be “red carpet” all the way. Although the full list is top secret until the event, I can let you know that Carolina Herrera, Sir Richard Branson and chef Daniel Boulud are also among the select 25 2007 Trendsetters! Be sure to check my blog for pictures of this star-studded event!
This month, ExerciseTV launched BUFF Brides on its On Demand service. I just received news that my BUFF Brides--Countdown to Gown workout DVD has won the prestigious 2007 Gold Aurora Award! The Aurora Awards is an international competition designed to recognize excellence in the film and video industries. It specifically targets products, programs and commercials that would not normally have the opportunity to compete on a national level, by focusing on non-national commercials, regional or special interest entertainment and corporate sponsored film and video. Entries have come from across the US and abroad including Russia, Denmark, Hong Kong, Germany, Australia, Mexico, etc.
BUFF received high marks in execution, content and creativity. BUFF also was praised for lighting and camera movement. Congratulations to the whole BUFF team!!
Check out the May issue of Cosmopolitan, on newsstands now! My 4-page spread on the perfect ab workout also made the front cover!
So, it’s been a busy couple of months for BUFF! Stay tuned for more exciting BUFF news! Thanks for visiting and while you’re here, feel free to ask me a fitness question via email. If I think yours is worth sharing, I’ll post it on the Contact page of the appropriate BUFF brand.
Stay BUFF and well,
Sue

Welcome back to BUFF Fitness! As we approach mid March, things have been really heating up for BUFF. As most of you know, my 4th book Fashionably BUFF was released at the end of February. When The Early Show, on CBS, booked me for a segment about the book on Feb. 23rd, I was pretty psyched. But then Brittany Spears and Anna Nicole Smith controlled the headlines so I was bumped until March 6. If you didn’t get a chance to see it live, you can check out the segment by clicking on the link on my News/Press page and scrolling down to March 6.
Being on a national morning show is pretty exciting BUT you don’t get much sleep the night before. Especially when I heard that CBS has been trying to catch the other morning shows and has increased its daily Early Show viewership to about 3.5 million people!
Things started pretty early in the day with a car picking me up at 7 (that was actually late—when I appeared on Good Morning America, the car arrived at 5:30 am!), hair and make-up at 7:30, a brief run through of the segment with the producer, then on the air-LIVE! Mistakes are not tolerated so leave your nerves at the door. Things ran pretty smoothly and 4 minutes felt like 4 seconds. Of course I didn’t get to all of the things I rehearsed with the producer. The host of the segment, Julie Chen, was great to work with.
Other BUFF publicity includes the USA Today Weekend supplement on March 11, a 2-page spread in the March issue of Upscale Magazine, a piece in the Feb. 28th issue of OK! Weekly and a 2-page piece in the May issue of Cosmopolitan. Lots of great stuff coming up for BUFF!
Send me an email and let’s get BUFF!

February is already a very exciting month for BUFF. The good news started coming in the beginning of January with a call from a leading national magazine. I’ll be presented a major award in May—that’s all that I’m allowed to say!! It’s very exciting and I’m honored by this prestigious publication!
I made my Sirius Satellite Radio debut in mid-January! What fun! I was on “Beauty Talk with Eva Scrivo,” which is heard throughout the country on the Martha Stewart network. I’ve done many radio interviews but never for a live, one-hour show! Topics included the importance of fitness, how to get started, fitting exercise daily, etc. Great questions were phoned in from women all over the US. Eva is a terrific host and each week her show focuses on health and beauty. Check it out every Monday night from 7-8 pm.
My 4th book, Fashionably BUFF, will be released Feb. 20th. The book’s tagline, Essential Workouts for Looking Great in Anything You Wear, is a collection of exercise programs tailor made to tone and trim your figure. It also includes indispensable wardrobe tips to flatter your frame. No, there isn’t a companion workout DVD yet, but it is something that I hope to have completed by the end of the year.
Be sure to check out the April issue of Cosmopolitan! I just completed a 4-page spread on how to get great-looking abs without using a weight. I put together some great exercises that are fun and easy to do, so be sure to pick one up, on stands March.
Hope you like the newly designed website and keep those questions coming. Next month I’ll be answering some of the most popular and posting them here! I’ll have some very exciting news to share with all of you very soon, so please keep checking back.
Stay BUFF and well,
Sue
